Random homeschooling thoughts

It is hard for me to express how our family homeschools.  Well, I can, but for the non-homeschooling family it isn't always easy to understand what I am talking about.  Homeschooling has become our way of life.  It is not something we do during school hours, but it is just who we are.  I pulled this quote off a blog I just read for the first time today cheerios in my sneakers.  I have been trying to say this, but never could express how I feel about our homeschooling experience so clearly.  Faithe has said it best!  "Homeschooling is not easy, it is hard! It takes precedence over every other interest. It consumes my time and energy. It causes me to ask myself very hard questions and then forces me to answer them."   And I want to add, and I love it and this is what is best for our family!


I tend to call my kids monkeys.   And wouldn't you know, I found a monkey at the table today.  : )
