Craft Closet Clean Out

I decided that we needed a short winter break! My heart is not into teaching and we just need some time to work on "other stuff". The boys are responsible for daily reading and doing XtraMath online. They also have done a subject here or there, like listening to SOTW cd in the car on Alexander the Great and Tyler made a volcano.

Now for the "other stuff"! I need to do some closet reorganizing for some pre-spring cleaning. I got my closet done two weeks ago. Caleb's and Tyler's closets are getting a total make-over. I was clueless on how to organize Tyler's closet, but I got some help from a friend, Jennifer. My wonderful husband has promised me a day to work on this over the weekend. (I'm excited!!) I was able to clean out my hall closet/craft closet today. Here's the story!

See the large box on the left? All of our craft supplies are just piled in a mess in this box. I pulled together some other organizing supplies to use to rearrange and promised myself I would make do with what I had on hand and not go to the store for more.

This is what my living room floor looked like after I sorted through it all. This was when I took a lunch break. After some protein, I remembered that I had a box of Christmas craft supplies in another closet and decided to get those out and put with the rest of our craft supplies. Surprisingly it all fit and no need to go to town.

Everything put back into the closet and rearranged. Our hall is very narrow and I couldn't get a picture showing the whole closet. One of my favorite things my husband built for me is the shelving is this closet!



Today was our first box day! Box day is exciting (for me) because we get new school supplies. Today I got some of Tyler's new books. Yes, I know we won't start till August, but I like to be prepared. ; ) Tyler wasn't so excited about it.
