It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . . . .

I have been finishing up some Christmas details this week and we are getting excited for the Christmas season to start! Today we made sugar cookies and I have a tried and true recipe that has never let me down and today it did. Even the icing wasn't coming out right. But, it is all done. No pics of the boys decorating because I decided to take a nap! Now I should be all ready for the marathon Christmas Eve!

These are the stockings that hung at my Grandma's house. We always rushed to my Grandparents house on Christmas Day to see what Santa had left in them (usually gift certificates to McD's). She passed away in October and we got the boys stockings. I've had mine for several years but this is the first year that I got mine out. I also was able to snag my favorite Christmas decoration from my Grandma's house! I always loved this cookie jar and was surprised to find it in the "free for the taking" pile!

I receive ornaments every year from my godson. My tree can no longer handle them all. They are beautiful ornaments so I wanted to display them and decide to get a Christmas swag to hang them on. It took me two years to find a swag in my price range that looked nice, but here it is.

I took the poinsettia to the living room and put my Santa cookie jar in it's place!

Merry Christmas!
