September School Happenings

It's been a busy month! School is just plugging along plus lots of other activities. Here is a quick run down of some of our September happenings.

In Missouri, it is hard to find nice days. Too hot, too cold, too windy, too sunny, too rainy, too . . . . . .  days spent doing school on the back deck are far in between. We were able to get a couple in this month. Honesty, it is VERY hard to keep the boys attention while sitting outside.

Hunting season has started. The boys have enjoyed some Teal hunting and Dove hunting so far.

Our retaining wall project was started this summer. Because of drought conditions we put off landscaping until this week. It's starting to get late for replanting, so we got soil this week and I replanted the day lilies and irises. Right now we are in the process of putting down stones and will be getting decorative rock soon. We decided on decorative rock because mulch just doesn't last long and we have become lazy gardeners.  ; ) I'll post pictures once that's all done.

Our local take & bake pizza place offered our homeschool group a field trip. The boys learned how the business makes their pizzas and they got to make their own to bring home. They tasted great!
